December Dev Diary 3 - Mini rpg battlesystem
Hey and hello!
Wow .. the last entry before Christmas .. and the penultimate one for this year! That went quickly ..
I don't want to write around for long and show you the progress on the battle system for the mini rpg project. I made a little video so that you know what this is all about.
My basic idea for the whole system was that every move counts. In the video you can see (unfortunately a bit indistinct) that with every movement, the bar above the hero as well as the opponent is charged. So far only the heroes are able to throw "attacks" on the field. In the next step I will equip the opponents with the ability to change the playing field so that you have to plan your movements better.
Aside from advancing the battle system, I tweaked the game's visual style a bit ... you might see that in the video too. Such a CRT filter would be really cool, let's see what I can do with it.
I think for next week I will prepare a short summary of the first year LotsOfStuff, I am looking forward to reviewing everything again, a lot has happened after all.
That's it, the Mono rpg project is making really good progress and the work on the controller UI kit is almost finished. Otherwise I'll take it easy and I wish you a quiet and nice time. Enjoy the coming days.
Until next week!
